"Laf'n Bear Alegria"

Thank you for the enthusiastic
response to the second and
final phase of this
unpainted
edition — it is now sold out!

"Alegria" is a Peruvian mare flying along at the "sobreandando", an exhilerating accelerated four-beat gait. Her name, "Alegria", translates as "a wonderful joyous feeling", there's no better way to describe the delight of viewing the kinetic poetry that is a Peruvian.

Pictured piece painted by Lynn Fraley, collection of the artist and not for sale.

This sculpture stands 6.75" tall at her eartips,
9" long nose to tail and is hollow-cast in white polyurethane resin.

"Alegria" was released in a limited edition of 50 unpainted resins, sold in two phases. The first phase of 25 was sold in September 2002, the second phase was sold July 2, 2003.

An additional ten pieces will be cast and painted by the sculpting artist, Lynn Fraley. A ceramic variation of this sculpture is available from the artist.
